Chiefs’ Frank Clark lets loose in expletive-filled interview after AFC championship win over Titans – USA TODAY

Jan 21st, 2020

Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark backed up his trash talk Sunday and punctuated it with an expletive-driven postgame interview.

After the Chiefs dispatched the Tennessee Titans 35-24 while limiting Derrick Henry to 69 yards, Clark was asked about his team's deliveryby the same NFL Network reporter who quoted him in saying there's "no difficulty in tackling" Henry, who had amassed 377 yards in Tennessee's previous two playoff contests.

Clark's response: "(The Titans) come in here, they say they're gonna run the ball. I know exactly what they were gonna do, you watching that film, you know what they're going to do. The last two games, (Henry) had 200 yards each game, I knew damn well we weren't gonna win the game if we let that happen. They come in here, call him the best rusher in the league. We sending his (expletive) home early."

Clark downplayed Henry's ability prior to Sunday's AFC championship.

"He's not hard to hit," Clark told NFL Network. "He's just a big guy. 240, 245, 250, honestly he should be running harder at his weight and at his size. I don't see no difficulty in tackling him."

When Clark was told by NFL Network reporter James Palmer on Sunday that critics on social media doubted his bold claims, the 26-year-old was quick to respond.

"They must not know who I am yet," he said."They gonna fight out sooner or later when I got that (Super Bowl) ring on my finger. At the end of the day, we (expletive) champions. AFC. That trophy that got my last name in it, (expletive) can't see. No fall off. Look at this (expletive)."

Fittingly, Clark made sure to add another mark of confidence for his team heading into Super Bowl LIV at the end of his postgame rant. The Chiefs will face another run-oriented team in the San Francisco 49ers.

"We the best defense in the world," he said.
