Sharon Osbourne Recalls ‘I Want It Now’ Attitude with Weight Loss Injections – PEOPLE

Jan 20th, 2024

Sharon Osbourne is standing by her decision to use the popular weight loss injections despite losing more weight than she expected.

On Monday, during an appearance on the U.K. talk show Loose Women, the 71-year-old opened up about her desire to gain back some of the weight shes lost. However, she has no regrets about using the weight loss aids in the first place.

I dont regret it. Everything with weight with me was, I want it now, she explained. The injections that I was on worked, but it just seems that now I cant put anything on really.

Osbourne explained that her weight has always fluctuated and shes lost over 40 lbs. from the injections after they changed the way she eats. She admitted that shes now been struggling to gain some of the weight back.

If I could, Id put back another 10 [lbs.], she said.

Im just an ordinary person who got lucky and I didnt take advantage of that. I never want to forget that I am blessed and been really lucky in my life, Osbourne added.

Back in November 2023, the Talk UK host spoke to the Daily Mail and revealed that she now weighs under 100 lbs. after using Ozempic, an FDA-approved prescription medication for people with type 2 diabetes.

It's one of the brand names for semaglutide also known as Wegovy which works in the brain to impact satiety, and is the latest Hollywood weight loss trend.

Im too gaunt, and I cant put any weight on. I want to because I feel Im too skinny. Im under 100 lbs., and I dont want to be, she told the outlet. Be careful what you wish for.

I started on Ozempic last December and Ive been off it for a while now, but my warning is dont give it to teenagers, its just too easy, she said. You can lose so much weight and its easy to become addicted to that, which is very dangerous. I couldnt stop losing weight and now Ive lost 42 lbs. and I cant afford to lose any more.

Although shes lost more weight than expected, Osbourne is still not concerned about what critics might say about her new appearance, adding that shes paid a fortune to try and look attractive.

I dont care what people say about the way I look, she told the outlet. I know I look gaunt and I know everything that goes along with it. And I did it.

Osbourne first shared in September 2023 that she believed she lost too much weight on Ozempic.

I didnt want to go this thin. It just happened, she said during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored with husband Ozzy, 75, and children Jack, 38, and Kelly, 39. (The couple also share daughter Aimee, 40.)

You cant stay on it forever, she said at the time. I lost 42 pounds now and its just enough.

The Osbourne matriarch told Morgan that its just time to stop losing weight, especially after struggling with the nausea side effect while taking the weekly injections.

You dont throw up physically but you have got that feeling, she explained. I was about two three weeks where I felt nauseous the whole time. You get very thirsty and you dont eat. Thats why I say you have to keep this stuff away from younger people. They will go berserk on it and its not right.
