1000-LB. Sisters star Tammy Slaton has been spotted showing off her incredible 300-lb. weight loss outside her $37,000 Kentucky home.

The U.S. Sun obtained exclusive photos of Tammy, 36, returning to her two-bedroom Kentucky home after taking a fast food run on Easter Sunday, April 9.

She wore a black zip-up hoodie and a black skirt that hugged her frame, which has shrunk from 700 lbs. down to just over 400 lbs.

The 1000-Lb. Sisters star showed off her greatest achievement as she was able to stand on her own and walk from the car to the front door, with just the assistance of a walker.

Previously on the show, Tammy was not able to execute these basic tasks independently because of complications with her health.

When leaving her home in the morning, Tammy was spotted wearing a different sweatshirt and her wedding ring, according to an eyewitness.

She still proudly displayed her silver ring, despite rumors circulating that she may have split from her husband of five months, Caleb Willingham.

Before returning home, Tammy and her sisterAmy, 35, had anEasterhankering for some deep-fried food and made a trip to a local KentuckyMcDonald's.

Tammy was spotted sitting in the front seat of their car clutching a McDonald's takeout bag while Amy sat in the back.

After pulling through thefast foodjoint, the sisters made their way back home and it appeared that one stop was not enough to tide over their craving.

Amy was also spotted holding aWendy'sdrink as she exited the car and walked up their driveway.

Earlier on the Easter holiday, Tammy and Amy also went on a long shopping spree toWalmart.

While at the shopping center,Tammy was caught vapingwhile riding an electric scooter holding her oxygen tank.

The insider shared that Tammy and Amy were at the Walmart for nearly two hours.

The sisters emerged with carts loaded to the brim with Twinkies, chips, toys, and more, according to the source.

Tammy was spotted taking a drag from an electric vape as she coasted through the parking lot to her car with bags full of junk food.

The other day someone asked me about what some of the highlights of my weight loss journey through Jenny Craig had been so far, she wrote on Monday.

Of course, I have loved the results and seeing myself and my confidence really shine since beginning the program last August.

One of the other highlights is just how easy it is to follow!

I dont have to worry about calculating calories, or macros, or weighing up portion sizes.

Donovans fans loved the photos she shared and the confidence shining through in them, with one fan calling her new look sensational.

Speaking to 7Entertainment earlier this year, Donovan said Jenny Craig had been an immense help in getting her to the last part of her ongoing health journey.

For all of my life, Ive just been trying to be healthy and not rely too much on what my weight is, but how healthy I can be, she explained.

Like everything, Ive gone up, Ive gone down, Ive gone left, Ive gone right, Ive gone all the ways around.

Jenny Craig has been an absolute godsend - its really re-taught me and re-educated me.

I mean, on Jenny Craig I can still eat pies, sausage rolls, spinach rolls - youre still eating food, its just portioned.

He kept a low profile in the smart-casual ensemble as he added a navy blue Boss baseball cap and slipped into a pair of navy blue leather sneakers with white soles.

Anne-Marie, who is 22 years his junior, matched her loved one in a baby blue shirt but instead went for beige smart trousers.

The raven-haired beauty wrapped up with a light beige trench coat which featured a tie waist.

To accessorise she wore a silver circular pendant necklace as well as a pair of black cat-eyed sunglasses.

The couple made sure to capture a few moments of their special trip away by taking a selfie beside the canal.

It comes after Gregg claimedhis younger wife Anne-MarieSterpini has 'revolutionised' his life and is the reason behind his five stone weight loss.

TheMasterChef presenter revealed that the 22-year age gap between himself and Anne-Marie spurred him on to lose weight and get in shape.

Gregg and Anne-Marie share their son Sid, three, and the former green grocer said that he 'wants to be there' for his family in the future.

Appearing on Wednesday's episode of Good Morning Britain, Gregg said:'That young woman has revolutionised my life, there's a 22-year age gap, we have been together ten years and have a son, Sid, and I want to be there for them.'

Revealing his tips for dropping the pounds, Gregg explained: 'Don't go on a diet, don't do something that's hard. Eat three healthy meals per day, reduce the takeaways, reduce the snacking.'

'For too many of us food is happening by accident, they haven't planned their dinner, they look in their fridge, they order a takeaway.

'I have never calorie counted, the three horsemen of the "get fat apocalypse" are, snacking, takeaways and booze.'

Gregg has talked publicly about his health and fitness journey and previously revealed he tried quick fix diets before ditching junk food for good.

Herevealed in June that he decided to lose weight to 'look better' on TV but is now continuing his fitness journey to see if he can have 'the body of a 20-year-old'.

He impressively shed five stone after ditching fast food, cooking at home more and exercising regularly.

Speaking about his weight loss, Gregg admitted he 'wasn't happy' when he weighed more than 16stone and said he tried 'every' fad diet and 'short-term' fix but nothing worked.

He admitted his motivation to lose weight was to 'look better' on the television but said he is now challenging himself to see if he is able to get as fit as a 20-year-old.

'My motivation at the start was, 'I just want to look better on the telly',' he told The Sun.

'But now it's, "How fit can I actually get? Can I actually have the body of a 20-year-old at 60?".'

He also said he feels more 'attractive' and happier after his fitness journey and said his confidence has helped his marriage to his wife Anne-Marie, who he tied the knot with in 2016.

'I feel more attractive, I'm nicer to be around and, let's be honest, my wife Anna is 22 years younger than me and while I can't change my age, at least I can change what I look like,' he added.

He said his slimmer frame has also helped him be a better father to his three-year-old son Syd, saying he is glad he is fit enough to play with his son, as he admitted he gets 'judged' as an older father.

Gregg, who is 5ft 8in and weighed 16st 7lb at his heaviest, said he tried to lose weight quickly but felt 'hungry and miserable' all the time when he tried fad diets.

Thebroadcaster, who has launched a fitness platformShowMe.Fit, said he managed to lose more than four stone by weaning himself off fast food, exercising and cooking healthy meals at home.

Gregg first decided to change his lifestyle after he was told by his doctor that his weight could give him a heart attack back in 2017.

Now, Gregg frequently posts topless photographs showing off his toned physique to his Instagram page and said he has no plans to stop sharing the snaps.

Gregg said he likes to chart his fitness success by sharing pictures of his figure with his fans, saying he is proud of how he looks and that he is no longer scared of his health and ageing.

The media personality said he keeps the weight off by eating healthily and having regular sessions with a personal trainer, which include chin-ups, bench presses and hundreds ofpress-ups.

What are the first signs of shingles?

A rash will appear a few days later. Shingles are usually contained to your chest and stomach, but it can appear anywhere on your body, including your face, eyes and genitals. What are the four stages of shingles?

So a doctor has diagnosed you with Celiac disease and told you to stop eating gluten.

Suddenly, it feels like your life as an adventurous Front Range diner has come to an end. But before you cancel Saturdays dinner reservation and discard your list of new restaurants to try, Dr. John Riopelle, a gastroenterologist based in Lone Tree, has some good news for you.

I often tell patients that it used to be really hard to find a restaurant to go to and know safely that you could eat the food, Riopelle says. But nowadays, nearly every place is aware of it, and they will mention what is gluten-free and what is not.

Riopelle has been a physician in his specialty for roughly 20 years, so hes seen the way societys understanding of gluten has evolved. Two decades ago, most people didnt know about it or how to keep it out of their diets, if necessary. Now, he points to the many people who dont have a diagnosed sensitivity who still cut out gluten as a sign that its entered the mainstream.

Dr. Ankush Kalra, who has practiced out of South Denver Gastroenterology for two years, seconds that notion. He estimates that, between those with Celiac disease, those with a gluten sensitivity, and those following the diet by choice, roughly 20 percent of diners might ask an eatery for gluten-free options.

If [a restaurant] wants to be able to accommodate diners and eaters who are frequenting the restaurant scene, and its able to offer gluten-free choices, thats a good thing for everyone, Kalra says.

Still, dining out is a little more complicated for those with a diagnosed medical condition. Should gluten accidentally land on a Celiac disease patients plate, that person can get sick: Riopelle lists stomach discomfort or pain, gas, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea as common reactions to eating gluten.

None of those symptoms make for a fun night out. To help you or a loved one navigate, we consulted the experts and used their advice to put together these guidelines.

While many call it a gluten allergy, Celiac disease is actually an autoimmune disorder. That means that, when a person with Celiac disease eats gluten (a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye), their immune system interprets it as an intruder and attacks.

Villi, millimeter-long strands that line the small intestine to help absorb nutrients, get caught in the crossfire. The overly reactive immune system blunts the projections, preventing them from transferring vitamins and minerals into your body.

Thats why those with untreated Celiac disease tend to have iron, vitamin B12, vitamin D, and calcium deficiencies, among others. If a patient continues eating gluten long-term, their bone density may suffer. Children often struggle to put on weight.

Riopelle says several of his patients have reported brain fog before changing their diet. Mental health problems can arise as well, such as depression or anxiety. In extreme cases, folks may experience gallbladder disease, heart failure and liver failure, intestinal cancer, and other symptoms.

Thankfully, the treatment is simple: Stop eating gluten. If patients cut it out of their diet, the villi in their small intestine are able to recover and function properly again (barring other medical conditions). For the most part, early diagnosis and avoiding gluten is enough to dodge any long term health impacts.

Less simple, though, is figuring out how to navigate nutrition. While dont eat gluten seems straightforward, different patients have different sensitivity levels, says Riopelle. Some people could ruin their night if they eat French fries made in a fryer not reserved for gluten-free ingredients. Others dont need to be as careful.

A lot of patients who have minor symptoms will say, You know what? Its Friday night. Im going out with my friends. Im gonna have pasta, and if Im a little sick to my stomach the next day, thats the price I pay, Riopelle says.

Ultimately, individuals should work with their doctors, and perhaps a dietician, to identify their limits. Some trial and error is normal, Kalra says, and the occasional mistake usually isnt cause for concernlong-term health problems like nutritional deficiencies arent likely unless you eat gluten regularly.

Ideally, if youre making plans to dine out with a friend, Kalra recommends you research restaurants ahead of time. Identifying which brunch spots have GF next to some of their menu itemsand which dontwill help you narrow down your options and better your chances of enjoying breakfast sans stomach pain.

There are still more questions you can ask, Kalra says, to determine the chances of cross-contamination, which occurs when gluten accidentally winds up in a dish that is supposed to be free of the ingredient. He recommends calling or emailing ahead of time, if possible.

Both he and the Celiac Disease Foundation recommend inquiring about the following details, preferably outside busy lunch and dinner rushes so that restaurant staff can properly attend to your questions:

You, with the advice of your doctor, will need to decide how the answers to the above questions impact your decision to eat at a certain restaurant. One that does not use any ingredients with gluten is likely going to be the safest place to grab a meal. Such spots are rare (though there are a few in Denver), but that doesnt need to put the kibosh on your dinner plansmany diners can enjoy an establishment without such strict rules and not become ill.

Whether or not youve been able to conduct research ahead of time, once you arrive, you should always inform the waitstaff about your sensitivity. That way, both they and the chef know to warn you about potential opportunities for cross-contamination and to take extra caution while preparing your meal.

Politely asking questions is perfectly normal, and even recommended, Karla says. You might inquire about whether a salad has croutons, for example, or verify that the chef doesnt sprinkle flour on chicken or a baked potato to make it crispy. The Celiac Disease Foundation provides an extended list of possible hiding spots for gluten here.

Its your body and your health, so its OK to advocate for yourself. Dont be afraid to walk away from an eating establishment if you feel like your questions are not being answered, or if the answers are not within your realm of comfort, Kalra says.

Time-restricted eating improved the health of firefighters by reducing the risks of heart disease linked with shift work, according to a new study.

Working long shifts, up to 24 hours at a stretch, could be behind a number of health issues, including higher rates of diabetes and heart attacks.

But firefighters who stuck to a time-restricted eating planwherein the time of day determines when a person can eat, in this case 10 hours dailysaw those risks reduced.

Researchers say that their findings, published in the journal Cell Metabolism, could help others who work long hours, such as military personnel, nurses, transportation drivers, as well as new parents, whose schedules go awry when caring for a new baby.

Little previous research had been done to identify lifestyle interventions that could help prevent the health risks of working shifts.

But a new American study found that time-restricted eating (TRE) could be safely practiced in shift workers.

The research team also showed that TRE provided benefits to participants who had indications of cardiometabolic disease, a group of common but often preventable conditions including heart attack, stroke, diabetes, insulin resistance and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Called the Healthy Heroes Study, the intervention focused on firefighters in San Diego, California.

Shift work is much more common than many people think, said co-corresponding author Professor Satchidananda Panda, of the Salk Institute.

Not only does shift work contribute to an increased burden of disease in our society, but it makes it hard for people with existing conditions like diabetes and cardiovascular disease to manage them.

Co-corresponding author Professor Pam Taub, a cardiologist at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine, said, Overall, firefighters are a pretty healthy group of people, but we found that for those who had underlying cardiometabolic risk factors like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and hyperglycemia, there was some benefit to TRE, especially in terms of improvement in glucose levels and blood pressure.

Professors Panda and Taub have collaborated on research into TRE for several years. In January 2020, they published a study in Cell Metabolism that found that restricting the time of eating to 10 hours a day reduced body weight and improved blood pressure and cholesterol levels in people with metabolic syndrome.

In the current study, the team recruited San Diego firefighters, who work 24-hour shifts. There were 137 firefighters ultimately enrolled in the study; 70 followed TRE, eating all of their meals within a 10-hour time window, and 67 were in the control group.

All the participants were encouraged to follow a Mediterranean diet that was rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats. The subjects were followed for 12 weeks.

A barrier to conducting research studies with shift workers has been the subjects inability to attend the lab during regular business hours. The researchers got around that by going to the fire stations to apply wearable devices on the participants to collect their activity, sleep, and blood glucose levels.

They also customized an app that allowed the firefighters to log their food and sleep and answer study surveys; the app also enabled the researchers to send study materials and to guide the participants on following the recommended lifestyle.

The researchers found that the time-restricted eating pattern was both safe and feasible, as participants didnt report any problems with concentration, reaction times, or other issues and their quality of life generally improved.

Even those who were healthy with no underlying cardiometabolic risk factors had improvements in quality of life and in VLDL, which is a form of bad cholesterol, said Taub.

The research team wants to conduct similar studies with healthcare workers.
